It records which of the two source briefs governs (the second, the register-is-the-product framing) and which naming decision follows from it: everything ships on one domain, with the commercial service designed to refactor out later if a business partner emerges. It states the front-page thesis verbatim — a subscription is a discount for committing to regular use, not rent on something you have the right to ignore — and the operating insight that makes the site launchable this month: the first question is not how much you used it, which nobody can prove, but whether the company holds a record of your usage at all, which every company can answer.
